Summer abundance is upon us and it is time to process the bounty. Stay safe at home while empowering your self through a crash course on food preservation. Learn how to select, prepare, and process a variety of summer vegetables you can find at local farmer's markets. Harlem Valley Homestead Culinary Lead Alicia Walter will cover how to safely preserve tomatoes and mushrooms. We will share our favorite recipes and encourage you to experiment to create your own. Participants will learn two different ways to can tomatoes and how to lacto-ferment mushrooms.
